To make our trailer as professional as possible we decided to research into how titles within trailers are used. We looked at films within our genre, such as 'Paper Towns':
In the trailer for Paper Towns the titles have:
A plain block colour background
The same plain background, font type and colour throughout the whole trailer
Description of the film near the end half of the trailer
Noteworthy comments about the film, the film was made from a best selling book
We also looked at films outside of our genre to gain a wider perspective, such as 'Adventureland':
The trailer for Adventureland had titles that had:
A coloured background
The same font throughout the trailer
An indication of time: 'coming soon'
Title of the film near the very end of the trailer
From this we decided that our trailer should have:
The same background and use of font across all the titles
Have colours that suit the colour palette of the film
An indication of when the film is coming out
A description of the film that hints at the plot, leaving a restricted narrative
